Biden’s Policies?
What is it? Actually, what is President Biden’s policy? Or, more accurately, is there a Biden policy of any kind on anything?
Actually, there is one identifiable policy. That is if Donald Trump was for it, we are against it. If Trump was against it, we are for it.
Biden signed 30 Executive Orders on his first three days in office, 24 of which were direct reversals of Trump orders.
Some of those Trump orders had slowed the flood of illegal immigrants over our southern border and were erecting barriers that would make it very difficult to conduct human and drug trafficking over the Rio Grande.
So what is the Biden policy on immigration? There is none. There were more than 13 million illegal or undocumented aliens in the United States the day Biden took office. That number is swelling by multi thousands every month.
Although the Biden administration refuses to acknowledge that there is a problem on and along our southern border, Vice President Harris has been appointed Czar of the border.
After several months as Czar, she finally visits El Paso where there is a legal entry point and says she sees no problem. Those poor people trying to come to the United States are just fleeing poverty. We can fix that by improving the economy in their home countries.
There is never a discussion of how long it will take to improve those economies and what is going to keep the migrants home while their economy slowly improves.
Moreover, there is no discussion or consideration of what will be done with the millions of illegals flowing in. Who will be allowed to become citizens? What will be the criteria for citizenship? Will they pay any taxes other than sales tax? Will they be assimilated into the Social Security system and begin paying Social Security taxes? How will they be taken care of when they age and can no longer work to earn a living? How much of the money they earn is sent back “home?” How many of the females are victims of sex trafficking? Who pays for their medical care?
These are just a few of the problems associated with illegal immigration. The Biden administration, however, will not even discuss them. There is no need to establish a policy or to discuss a problem that does not exist, is their explanation.
The one exception to Biden’s policy of not agreeing with any Trump policy is the moving of U.S. troops out of Afghanistan. That is short sighted on the part of both the presidents.
Invading Afghanistan was a mistake in the first place. We should have learned from the Russian experience. Nonetheless, we are now there and should stay in some form until Afghanistan can be insured of not becoming a pawn of Iran and Pakistan. Just imagine those three countries in the hands of the Taliban.
While carrying on the Trump policy of withdrawal, no policy has emerged from either camp on what to do with the 3,000 or more Afghans and their families who worked for the Americans and their allies. Leaving them to definite internment, torture, and death by the Taliban is an international war crime.
One of the saddest parts of this sad commentary is that Biden refused to take questions on Afghanistan at his news conference Saturday. Had his handlers failed to provide him answers or were they not able themselves to understand the Biden policy, or the lack thereof.
So here’s the perspective.
Joe Biden has been President of the United States for six months. What has he accomplished in that half year?
He is “planning to create more jobs” while employers are screaming for millions of workers to fill jobs in the rapidly recovering economy. With the other hand, he is eliminating jobs by stopping construction of the Keystone Pipeline and the border wall.
He is pushing for six trillion dollar spending bills while ushering in thousands of aliens to put more burden on the taxpayers without paying any taxes themselves.
Do not worry, however; he is going to have that one percent of taxpayers who now fund 40% of the budget pay “their fair share.”
So, once again, what are the Biden policies?
