Bringing Gusto to the Game

Many years ago when I was still trying to figure out what the heck I was going to do with my life, I thought I might like to be a sports writer. Although I felt ill-equipped to write traditional sports columns which, by the way, seemed lacking in imagination and inspiration, I felt I had a better way to inform and entertain the public---a more casual and more interesting way of reporting a ball game.

Baseball season just began, and I read the Houston Chronicle's report on the first game of the new season. Just as I remembered---pretty boring.
Let’s try my version.
