Coleen Bradfield has received a a great honor.

“I was honored to be asked by Paul McCormack, director of Ground Zero 360, to create a painting for the 20th Anniversary of September 11th for a special exhibit featured original art. He wanted artists to express their reactions, memories, influences and impact of September 11, 2001 as he was planning to add work of artists around the world to the current traveling exhibit. It took me 2 years to finish my 40 x 30" painting titled, “Never Again-A Country United.” The Ground Zero 360 exhibit will be at the Museum of Biblical Art in Dallas until late March, 2022.

Robin Avery is teaching in Houston at the Watercolor Art Society on West Alabama September 27 and 28, 9am to 1pm.  The registration deadine is September 24.  The subject will be Crazy Cats and Mixed Up Mutts.

David Sites has some good news.

“I was very fortunate to be invited to have an art show at our local Arts Council here in College Station, Texas. The show was two floors at their gallery. The next scheduled show which was an exhibit titled Ground Zero 360. The exhibit was collected by the many police and firefighters that helped with the search and rescue of the victims of the 911 attack. They are having a special event commemorating those who helped the rescue efforts and the memories of the people who passed that day.

“ When they stopped to see the space before setting it up, they saw my show and liked my work and asked me to create a piece for their 20th anniversary event being held at “The Museum of Biblical Art” in Dallas.

“The piece I created was a digital abstract that was Dye Sublimated (Heat Transferred) onto aluminum. The piece is titled “The Rescue” 36”x36”.
