Lying
Lying robs the citizenry of truthful rationale for decisions about how they vote. That's a fact, Jack.
You probably realize that our government by law is not supposed to take sides in politics, but under the current administration, they have---big time, actually paying internet sites to mislead the public about the President's son's involvement in kickback from around the world which the then Vice-President and now President have benefited from to the tune of millions of dollars. They have also been influenced to lie about other matters which might, if the truth were known, cause displeasure among Democrats as well as Republicans. As I said, “Lying robs the citizenry of truthful rationale for decisions about how they vote.” Holy crap!
The Obama administration's folks were pretty big liars also---Fast and Furious, “You can keep your doctor,” and similar bold-faced lies.
A Democrat administration via the FBI protected Hillary Clinton when she was running for President against Trump. Clearly she should have been brought to trial for several offenses. James Comey, head of the FBI, boldly lied, “No reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.”
The FBI, the Department of Justice, and the CIA have been big contributors to the lies along with numerous other government entities.
They tortured the Republican President Donald Trump for all four years of his presidency claiming that he won his election through Russian influence---Russia-Russia-Russia---the entire time knowing that it was untrue. Once again, “Holy crap!”
It is astonishing that so many people still believe this lie. 32% of all Americans still believe the lie and 70% of Democrats still believe the lie in spite of the Mueller and Durham reports which exonerate Trump and clearly indicated that the FBI and Justice Department knowingly lied.
The Democrat Party was once upon a time an honorable group of men and women who wanted the best for America. Today it has become a collection of folks who believe whatever lies they tell to stop Trump from another term is justified because he's “worse than Hitler.” What a crock!
Look, the federal government is NOT going to tell you the truth. The entertainment industry is NOT going to tell you the truth. Most of the news industry is NOT going to tell you the truth. Most of the internet sites are NOT going to tell you the truth.
Your only hope of finding the truth is you. You must pay attention to what you're told and then use your common sense to determine what is true. For example, as soon as the accusation was made that Trump had solicited Russia's help in his election, my common sense told me that this was a lie. It made no sense. A young friend told me---to his regret---that he had voted for Biden and against Trump because all that he had heard were bad things about Trump. Slowly I explained, “Just because someone makes an accusation does not make it true.” In today's America, sadly, even decisions in our courts are no indication of what the truth is.
I've been trying to figure out when our government began to believe that lying to the citizens was a good thing to do.
In the early years of our republic, I suspect that the government told lies, but fewer lies. If I had to pick an early point that lit the fire under government lying, it would be the concealment of the UFO incidents after WWII. The federal government has consistently lied to the American people for seventy-five years. I believe government folks said, “Gee, that was easy. Let's make lying a regular thing.”
Of course the Bible is against lying: Proverbs 12:22---“The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy….” Proverbs 25:1: “Telling lies about others is as harmful as hitting them with an ax, wounding them with a sword, or shooting them with a sharp arrow....”
Even the Islamists consider lying to be a major sin.
Lying can seldom be justified. Even though you assert that Trump is worse than Hitler, you know as it comes off your lips, it too is a lie. “The most common lie is that which one lies to himself; lying to others is relatively an exception.” (Friedrich Nietzche)
I'm afraid that many of you in the Democrat Party are violating all of the legendary basketball coach John Wooten's rules: “Never lie, never cheat, never steal.”
The current Democrat administration is scared out of their minds of Trump…not because he might be bad for our country…because he undoubtedly will be bad for them revealing their lies and other deceptions.
I hope you are better than these folks. If not, all is lost.
