While Charlie made friends among the crew, Janice Rand noticed a good deal of Charlie's attention was focused on her. Charlie knew Janice was aware if his powers, so around her he didn't have to hide them. Janice already knew Charlie had a crush on her and maybe even loved her from afar all those lonely years in exile on Thasus, and it seemed to her it was still true about him. But unlike the immature impatient young man Janice had encountered in Charlie Evans 20 years ago, Charlie, now in his early forties, offered Janice a polite friendship with the perks that went along with his powers over matter.  He presented regular gifts to Janice that Charlie could materialize out of thin air. There were a number of nice things a Starfleet officer like Janice Rand welcome and needed after long tours of duty that Charlie could produce for her at will. Janice liked that about Charlie now that he wasn't busy trying to force his self on her and so far Charlie hadn't even elected to slap her behind as he once did in the distant past.

Despite this, Janice realized she was starting to have warm feelings of affection for Charlie Evans because in his middle age he had matured into quite a handsome man with his slightly graying long hair and groomed beard, making Charlie look romantic like the men on covers of antique romance novels. One thing Janice wondered was if Charlie was secretly using his powers to influence how she felt about him. That was more than possible, and what lonely man wouldn't try to cause a woman to feel affection towards him by force of will if he could, anyway.

Just as Janice was thinking about that, her door buzzer chimed. Over the intercom she discovered it was Charlie Evans paying her a visit. Janice was in the mood for company as it was her day off so she was happy to entertain Charlie for a while in her quarters. When the doors slid open she found Charlie dressed up in fine looking green attire of his own creation and he was holding something impossible to get on board the Enterprise in deep space, a bouquet of gift wrapped fresh cut field flowers any woman like Janice would love to get as a gift from a handsome suitor.

Janice invited Charlie inside and she found the glass vase that Charlie had created for her just to put flowers in. Janice was ready to fill the vase with water to keep the flowers looking fresh but as soon as she picked it up she discovered Charlie already materialized a supply of water inside the vase. It was Charlie's thoughtful little tricks like that which Janice found endearing about him. Now that the flowers were placed inside the vase, Janice placed the vase on her desk as the center piece. Then she turned to Charlie with a good question on her mind:

"Tell me something, Charlie?  I know you have godlike powers and I like all the little nice tricks you do for me and the gifts you create that I can't get anywhere else, but I have to ask you right now, are you using your powers to influence how I feel about you, too?"

Charlie smiled.

"Why did you ask me that, Janice? Is there something wrong with the way you feel about me?"

Janice tried to be tactful.

"No, I guess there's nothing really wrong with how I feel about you. It's just that I already know how you feel about me and that makes me unsure how I should feel about you. I am not afraid to admit to you I have feelings of affection for you because you're so nice to me and because I find you physically attractive as an older mature man."

Charlie perked up:

"Gee whiz, Janice, I have always hoped to hear you say something like that to me. I never stopped thinking about you, you know?  You were my first big crush, and I never had anybody else to think about that way all this time.  Now we are both together again and I was hoping it would be different for you this time. Tell me Janice, is it different this time?"

Janice surprised herself with what she decided to do next. She walked over to Charlie leaned down where he was sitting and planted a big wet kiss directly on his lips:

"Yes, Charlie! I am happy to say things are going to be different this time. I will also tell you there is something unique about you that makes you totally different from any other man I have known all my adult life. You have never been with a woman, romantically I mean. Also given you lived alone all those years, I don't think you have the slightest idea what to do with a woman if she decided to seduce you. Would you like me to seduce you, Charlie?"

Charlie's pupils dilated and his palms began to sweat:

"You're right Janice. I don't know what to do. I guess if you want to seduce me you'll just have to show me what to do. I'll try not to get it wrong. You'll see! I am a fast learner and a good student!"

Janice sat in Charlies lap hugging him around his neck. Charlie was nervous when Janice's lips found his.  Whatever she was doing if felt terrific!

After a night of intense pleasure for Charlie with Janice in her quarters, he got out of her bed, dressed himself and materialized Janice's favorite breakfast that he served her in bed just as she woke up. Janice was still feeling somewhat amazed because once she introduced Charlie Evans to sex and she showed him what to do with a woman in bed, it wasn't long before Charlie got the right idea and he began to improvise various other pleasurable things to do to her using his powers. That much about Charlie from Janice's point of view made him a keeper:

"I'm sorry Janice, but I have to see Captain Kirk right away. I have something important to tell him. I hope you enjoy your breakfast in bed. Can I come see you later after you get off work?"

Janice impressed Charlie with her reply:

"Oh, Charlie, if you don't come spend the night with me again tonight I think I will die!"

Charlie liked hearing Janice say what she did:

"Okay, Janice, I promise to come back after you get off work. I'll think of a new gift to give you. Then can we do what we did last night all over again? That was the most fun I ever had!"

Janice replied:

"Make sure to kiss me goodbye, Charlie. That's how it's done between lovers in the mornings when one of them has to leave the other one."

Charlie agreed:

"Okay!"

Charlie leaned down and kissed Janice goodbye. Then he left Janice's quarters to head to the bridge were he hoped to find Captain Kirk.
